Scripps ‘Unofficial Survival Guide’ claims ‘hatred of white people’ is ‘legitimate response to oppression’

This is a fascinating foray into the mindset of those whose life revolves around political correctness. Here we see an attempt to craft a world around a new language and a new set of life goals. There is the familiar term of racist, but also the generally new term of ableist. There is also an invitation to extend this fantasy world by encouraging others to craft their own gender pronouns. There is also salvation of a sort by telling white people they must ask forgiveness from black people for the crime of being somehow privileged. Of course, this is racist simply because it assumes all whites are privileged and all blacks are underprivileged. I’m waiting for the sequel.

How the state of the economy is literally killing people

I include this story not to complain about the economy, but to focus on how the economically distressed focus on the worst case scenario. It’s not news that unemployment causes us to go into a funk, but the link to suicidal thoughts is. A better economy is necessary not just financially, but also to help our mental health.

21-million-year-old fossil teeth show monkeys may have rafted to North America | Fox News Latino

Now, I don’t have any other explanation for this, but a raft? Chimps on a raft? Methinks it is time to check your assumptions.

Scientists explain astronauts’ feeling of awe

It’s interesting that this happens so often, that scientists felt the need to address it. This is a natural phenomenon that occurs when we limited humans see something that appears so limitless. I have read a number of survival stories of people in rafts across the ocean for long periods of time. In spite of their struggle simply to survive, there is always some portion of their time on the raft with their simply overwhelmed at the vastness of the ocean and thought that there is something greater than themselves. This is a natural reaction any of us would have to the wonder of nature. It is a sign that there is something greater than us but must be responsible for all of us.

In our modern world, we often surround ourselves with the trappings of what other humans have made. It is only when we get exposed to the majesty and vastness of nature that many of us begin to believe that there is something transcendent beyond just this world.

Parents blast council after kids told to choose their gender

Of course, we knew this would happen, and it will get worse. Because so many people are willing to believe things that are factually untrue about gender. We may as well let our 4 year olds pretend as well. 25 different gender options. Where is the scientific consensus for that?
